This gauge is the size of my palm. I guess the intent is so it can be read far away, but there is no real reason for it to be so large. I spend a lot of time and money on the naturalistic aspects of my terraria. I wish there were an unobtrusive but affordable alternative for measuring humidity. I'd like to measure in two or more places within the tank, but if I put three of these things in there, I'd have no room left for the animals. :] BTW, I have not noticed temperature inaccuracies that have been mentioned in other reviews.
