I'm not sure if it's a defect in the product or my dog, who is nicknamed "Shredder". It took my dog 3 days to completely mar this bone, and another month to disfigure it enough that you can't tell it's a bone anymore. On the plus side, this is the longest lasting chew toy I have ever bought for her, and she hasn't chewed all the way THROUGH it yet. A good product, just not EXACTLY as tough as it's marketed to be., We've had dogs that wouldn't have a thing to do with Nylabones, but what works great is early training.
